Never Trust the Right to Know Mob

Once again, the Right to Know mob is at again with the fear mongering.  Now they have gotten their kids to be the puppets of these parents with this petition to label GMOs.  Hector Valenzuela is also joining in on this skull and crossbones campaign.

Just read on at some of the comments people left on the petition also.

  • Erika Preuss KAPAA, HI
  • Our young people know what is right, that we have the right to know what is in our food! We have worked for years to convince our youth to eath ‘healthy’ foods – and now that they are finally listening – the message we are sending them by not labeling GMO is a negative one. How can we teach our children to read labels, and know what’s in their food, avoid junk food etc.. and then turn around and tell them they don’t have the right to KNOW what is in their food? My kids tell me that it makes no sense, and I agree! We have a right to know ALL ingredients in our food. If it is unique and different enough to be PATENTED, then it is not a typical normal food. Remember, the biotech industry keeps telling us that GMO’s are the ‘same’ as regular food – while in the same breath they tell us they are different, unique and patented (and they defend those patents by vigorously suing farmers) – So which is it? Either they are not different and normal, or they are unique and different, and PATENTED. The industry cannot have it both ways – and we deserve the RIGHT TO KNOW all of the ingredients, ALL of the ingredients in our food. Especially the patented ones.

  • Dana Keawe PAHOA, HI
  • We have the right to know what is in our food. Please label our food.

  • There are a growing number of consumers who are concerned about GMOs and have consciously boycotted products that are not labeled NON GMO or Organic. This puts every company who use crops that are Genetically Modified at risk of market failure. Everyone is paying the price for a few. Consumers look for product information on the label to make educated choices, especially when choosing food.

Consumers who have food allergies rely heavily on proper labeling and AVOID products that are not clearly labeled.

Gluten Free labeling is a recent example of a labeling law that doesn’t go far enough to help consumers, as it only refers to gluten found in wheat, and does not take into consideration gluten from barley, rye, or oats. While users appreciate the label, they often find themselves at risk because the product does in fact contain gluten.

Clear laws that include EVERY form of GM/GE products should be properly labeled on ALL food, even that which is consumed by animals.

  • Our keiki are being used as test subjects w/o their (and our) consent. We all have a right to decide what we will eat, and whose products we will buy. We also have the right to VOTE, and I, for one, will exercise that right to elect officials who listen to their constituents, not mega-corporations.

  • I like that the youth of tomorrow are getting informed and taking charge of their health and the environment they will live with and for future generations. GOOD LUCK and may GOD Bless !

Note that Larry Schneider also made this same comment too about GE food, with Gary Hooser’s endorsement also.  They openly admit to scaring people!

What’s the biggest joke is that they claim that they want the right to know and that a label from the government is going suddenly make them trust it again.  They never trusted the state or Governor Abercrombie’s efforts to work with the seed companies with the right to know issue, so they went ahead and passed their own faulty laws.  Is a label on GE foods really going to suddenly make these right to knowers trusting of government again?  Yeah right.  It isn’t going to fix anyone.  They should ask their own industry to label food as GMO Free since they trust organic so much more than anyone else.

Malama the A’ina, Pono Preachers: They aren’t the Rubbah Slippah Folks

After seeing numerous hate comments and nastiness among the A’ole crowd, I started asking myself as to why these folks seem to not embody the local style spirit?  Do these folks, who are demonizing farmers across our state, have any roots to plantation style culture?  To me, they do not speak or act with the rubbah slippah folks, a term coined by Richard Ha.  Let’s see who these folks really are…

Nomi Carmona of the Babes Against Biotech: Ms. No Aloha #1 from Corona, California

The leader of the Babes Against Biotech is Nomi Carmona.  She loves to speak in her Hawaiian phrases and such and says how she wants to protect the aina.  Lo and behold, her home aina is not Hawaii!  Maybe her name needs to be Nomi California!

He speaks for the local people every since he landed in Hawaii in 1990.  Definitely has his roots in local ways and ancestors from the plantations.  He’s protecting farmers too? Really?

The vile comments seen here make it very obvious and clear that these people are not the rubbah slippah folks.  They can easily speak the lingo of malama the a’ina, and pono, but you can’t find a shred of it in what they say or do to farmers and others.  These people never knew what “small kid time” meant or what it means to be local.  They do not share the plantation style values of respect and coexistence that was taught back in those days.  This is a well bankrolled campaign paid for by lots of mainland monies to spread mainland values and destroy local ways.

They are not the local voices that should be heard.  Time to hear out the real local folks that know how to act and speak the true pono way…  The farmers!

Bullying Tactics Front and Center by the Mob

The leader of the A’oles had something to say the other day…

He makes as if he wants to be good neighbors but his followers state the obvious that no such plan would ever work.

The A’oles have also decided what their next strategy will be too…

The Constituents that Wooley, Hooser. & Gabbard Listen To

Jessica Wooley, Gary Hooser, and Tulsi Gabbard proudly proclaim that they are listening to the people when they are supporting bills like labeling.  So who are these people that they are working with?

Just take a look below to meet their constituents…

The Babes Against Biotech Facebook page from their World Food Day March.

This is interesting because many of their supporters and followers were upset about the Boobs Against Biology page.  They like to parody others but then hate to be parodied themselves.

Activists see no problem with this photo. Have your young child carry a sign with an expletive on it so that other children can see it too.  From the Babes Against Biotech Facebook page.

Jessica Wooley, Gary Hooser, and Tulsi Gabbard are always proud to proclaim that they are listening to their constituents.  Really, is this who you’d want to listen to to make laws?  Forget what the farmers have to say about this issue, politicians like them rather align with these folks.  What has been the activists’ contribution to Hawaii agriculture or to feeding people?  Nothing.

Meanwhile, these activists come up to farmers at the farmers’ markets and are asked, “Is this organic?” If the answer is no, then their produce is thrown back on the table in disgust.  What are these activists doing at the farmers’ markets to begin with?  If they don’t agree with how farmers are growing things, shouldn’t they be growing their own food and leaving them alone?  A’oles can’t do that.  They have to be rude & bully the small farmer to try and convince them to grow things the A’ole way.  That’s some aloha alright!

The Legend of the A’ole GMO

Many years ago, a very special group of people became the chosen ones, or so they were told.  They were sought out to protect mother nature and save the earth.  They did so by watching many a movie on the internet and were told to spread the word across the world and beyond.  They willingly did so without question…

hapuna1dougpitman

Not only were they chosen to watch movies, but they were shown the truth about these evils surrounding us through many scary pictures and memes plastered all over the social media!

The flood of these pictures and the stories they told made people afraid for their lives for they really believed they were in danger of being poisoned by evil.  They became angry.  Some even started saying things like this…

Some A’oles became keenly knowledgeable from reading something on the internet and started to boast their expertise too…

The scientists tried to come to educate these people and reassure them they were not in danger, but they would not listen and instead responded  with:

But these A’oles claiming the Right to Know already knew what they wanted, so they formed a special bond.  That common bond of love, peace, hate, and poison and got together to do this…

marchers MAM

Seeing that there was an opportunity, some people decided to take action to help these angry and scared people.  Capitalizing on all of this bonding based on fear resulted in:
